Một nghiên cứu của Công ty Điện tử hoàng gia Philips về sử dụng điện năng tại Việt Nam (VN) đã cho biết như vậy, bên lề Hội nghị Quản lý năng lượng năm 2009, ngày 18/9. Nhóm chuyên gia của Phipips “hiến kế”, thay vì sử dụng hệ thống chiếu sáng cũ và có phần lạc hậu như hiện nay, VN nên sử dụng công nghệ chiếu sáng mới. Điều này sẽ đáp ứng các lợi ích: cung cấp giải pháp tiết kiệm năng lượng, tăng cường thịnh vượng kinh tế, bảo đảm môi trường sức khỏe và giá trị xã hội.
